OKLAHOMA CITY --Parents Assistance Center announces the appointment of a new board member.The staff and current board of PAC are happy to welcome new board member, Cherokee Ballard. Cherokee will make the ninth member of PAC’s board. “We are delighted to have Cherokee as a new board member at PAC,” says executive director Char Carter.
Cherokee is the Public Information Officer for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, for the State of Oklahoma. With a degree from Oklahoma University, she has worked as an anchor/reporter for television stations such as KFOR television and KOCO television. In 2008 Cherokee was the Leukemia and Lymphoma woman of the year. As of 2010, she is also a published author.
Parents Assistance Center is excited to have Cherokee on the board. “Her dedication to child abuse prevention and her public relations experience are both assets to our organization,” says executive director Char Carter.
